Is there support for multi-language content?

Yes, we support podcast & video episodes in 11 languages.

Does the Podcast & Video API offer content filtering?

Yes, you can filter on keywords, languages, countries, time period, etc. All available search query parameters are described in our documentation on app.twingly.com.

What kind of metadata does the API provide for each post?

The API provides detailed metadata for both the channel and individual episode. This includes the channel name, source type, language, artwork, website and reach, as well as the episode title, description, publication date, duration, artwork, URL, media URL and reach. For each matching mention, the API also provides the surrounding text, its exact position in the episode and a time-coded URL that links directly to the relevant moment.

Is it possible to add a source?

Yes. If you notice that we are not currently covering a particular podcast, video channel or source, please let us know by filling out the Request Sources form when logged in to our platform. We will do our best to ensure that the requested content is added to our coverage. Note that adding new sources may require some manual work and comes with a small fee. Is there rate limiting or usage quotas?

Yes. The Podcast & Video API is limited to 5 requests per second and API key. Trial customers get 100 free requests, whereas the usage quota for paying customers can be tailored to the customer’s needs.

What query parameters can be used for filtering and searching?

The data in our Podcast & Video API can be filtered on specific keywords or phrases and refine the results using nearby keywords, excluded nearby keywords, language, source type, and publication date. Nearby and excluded terms are evaluated within 10 words of the main search term, making it possible to create precise searches. Wildcard searches are also supported. Source filters include podcasts, radio and videos from the major platforms. All available search query parameters are described in our documentation on app.twingly.com.

Yes. On app.twingly.com it is possible to test queries and search in our data directly in the browser.
